Making over my space : The Fails

Hi and welcome back to my blog. Thanks to everyone who remain here waiting to see if and when I’m returning. I know I said I will be back here on a regular and I will once I’m finish this madness call my room. It seems every time I’m that close to have it done something happens.Remember my peg board I shares awhile back. I decided to hang it in the area that it is located in this picture. Since I live in an apartment I couldn’t hang it the conventional way, so I found some command hooks for heavy items and I reinforced it with gorilla tape. I held up on the wall for awhile, months, and one day the gorilla tape decide it had enough and released the hook. Needless to say now instead of it being held up by two hooks, only one hook remain. The funny thing about that situation is that hook is still taped to the wall. Now I have to figure how to put my peg board back on the wall. My second problem ( well not really a problem) is my little craft corner. I decided to extend my desk to create a L shape for that corner.I have to wood and everything to extend the desk, but I don’t want to spend too much money on the legs for the wood. I haven’t had a chance to shop around for them either. I will only be using the extension to place my printer on so I can put my sewing machine in the current location of the printer for easier access. There also some finishing touches I would like to get for the room,so I was planning to go with my daughter and roommate to the Goodwill. On the good side I finally reorganized my closet.I will share that with you in the next blog, coming soon.

I also want to do a quick share of an item I found in my local thrift store

I saw this and thought it would be good for planner suppliers. My plans for this is to paint it and add either wheels or gliders and keep all my planner stickers and other supplies in it and to be able to slide it under my bed when its not in use.Like everything else, I will share the finish project with you.
I guess this is the end f this blog. And I will leave yo like always,

Keep Crafting.

A Quick Craft

Hi and welcome back to my blog. Thank you to all my subscribers old and new, for being here. I hope you continue to stick around and see what I come up next.

Today blog is a quick craft I want to share. This item is quick because I used a pretty decorative box I brought from Dollar Tree and just added beads.I saw this box and I liked the style of it.At the time I purchase it, I didn’t have any purpose for it. I decided I can used it as storage for pens I use for my daily planning.

What I did with this box to make it pretty for my desk is paint a layer mod podge on the box so it will last and if there is any leaking from the pens,it wont damage the box. After the mod podge dried, I added the beads to the top to make a way to take the top off. This is what the final project looked likeI should have put something on the bead to cover the hole and maybe I will find something in the future, but all in all I think its going to be a nice little addition to my final desk organization.

Well that all I have for you today, but I will leave you like always,

From the ashes:A Phoenix

Hi and welcome to my blog. If you are a returning subscriber, thanks for staying and if you are new here welcome. Wow its been a while and from the title, Ive come back from ashes. Sorry for the three week absents, but was having an issue with WordPress. Not anything really big just a little domain issue. Along with domain issues, I had some personal issues I had to deal with, but like a phoenix, I arose from the ashes and hope I will be able to start crafting and sharing more regularly. So what has everyone been up too. As you know Ive been working on my room decor. I realize why I never wanted to become an interior designer. This has been a real struggle for me. I almost have it set up to where I want it to be, but the details,OH THOSE DETAIL,is slowing me down. I mean I know what direction I want to go but There is always a fork in the road. And the forks are little forks maybe sporks. I still looking for curtain for my canopy. I want it to be a neutral color but I want it to be ivory or some kind of cream color, but nooooo, all I seem to find is blues, pinks, and rose. I also decide to redo my desk. I have a piece of wood to extend it to the corner,I want to be able to set up my sewing machine on my desk so,I want to extend the desk and add a corner structure. The problem with that is legs. I need to find inexpensive legs to add to the wood but they have to match my desk legs. I got this desk from a thrift store when I moved here and its a IKEA desk,so needless to say I need to go to Ikea to get legs.Amazon has legs that looks like my desk legs so I might have to go in that direction. So how was everyone Easter. I worked so it was just a regular day for me. My daughter did buy stuff for eggs to hide, yes there are no children living here but we thought it would be fun. I did make an Easter wreath for the door which I did took my process picture for the blog, but never had the chance to write it,but I will show you how it turn out.It looked really cute on my front door.

So I will bring this blog to an end for today, because I have so much to catch you up on and I dont want this blog to be too long (which it will be if I dont stop now). I hope you all have a good day,and like always
